Anna Wells

September 23, 1929 — September 16, 2017

Mrs. Anna Louise Cianelli Wells, 87, of Hagerstown, died peacefully at her residence on Saturday afternoon, September 16, 2017, with her son Donald by her side.  She was the wife of the late Harold T. “Orson” Wells, Jr., who preceded her in death on December 3, 2003.

Born September 23, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Anna Louisa Daley Cianelli.

She is survived by her children including, Robert Thomas Wells and wife Bonnie of Princess Anne, William Richard Wells and wife Kris of Hancock, and Donald Jacob Wells of Hagerstown; and by grandchildren including Jessica and Sarah Wells of Princess Anne, and Jacob and Jenna Wells of Hancock.

Anna is also survived by her siblings, Bob Cianelli and wife Arliss of Pasadena, William Cianelli and wife Fur of Hagerstown, Donald Cianelli and wife Barb of Maugansville, and Patsy Hoffman of Desoto, Texas; as well as by friends Kathy, David and Sally Kershner, Bobbie Langeland, Laura Eyler, and former mail carrier, Patti.

Besides her husband and parents, Anna was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert T. Wells, Jr.; and siblings Anthony and Dave Cianelli, and Betty Earley.

The Commission on Aging, Ravenswood Skilled Nursing Facility and Hospice of Washington County all provided care for Anna.  All involved with her care did so in a wonderful, caring and thoughtful manner ensuring her the best of care.

Arrangements are being handled by Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown.  There will not be visiting at the funeral home.  Service will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Well's name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland  21742; or to Diakon Senior Living - Ravenwood Campus,1183 Luther Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland  21740.
