Mr. Benjamin Chlebnikow, 105, of Hagerstown, died Monday, May 26, 2025, at Creekside Village, Hagerstown.

Born August 17, 1919, in Paterson, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Abraham and Anna Harris Chlebnikow. He graduated from Eastside High School, Paterson, N.J. and was a World War II Veteran. He served for thirteen months in the 3rd US Army under General George S. Patton.

He worked for Mack Trucks and retired after a 26-year career as a Senior Process Engineer. He was a Registered Professional Engineer and a Life Time member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Mr. Chlebnikow was a longtime member of Congregation B’Nai Abraham, Hagerstown.

He was a member of the Friendship Masonic Lodge No. 84 A.F. & A.M., Hagerstown and The American Legion. He was also involved in the Scouting program at all levels including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Explorers.

Surviving are sons Barry G. Chlebnikow, of Keswick, Virginia, and Robert J. Chlebnikow of Tigard, Oregon; and step-sons Dean R. Cohen of Hagerstown, and David J. Cohen of Fairfield, Iowa; as well as by eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and his friend, Dolores W. Holler of Hagerstown.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey A. Chlebnikow.

Services will begin at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Friday, May 30, at 10:30 AM, with a Masonic Memorial Service, followed by a Funeral Service officiated by Rabbi Mark J. Perman. Interment with Military Honors will follow in B’Nai Abraham Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The omission of flowers is requested. Memorial contributions in Mr. Chlebnikow’s name should be made to Congregation B’Nai Abraham, 58 East Baltimore Street, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
