Charlotte Hoover

April 20, 1922 — March 22, 2013

Mrs. Charlotte M. Hoover, 90, of Boonsboro, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Friday,
March 22, 2013, at Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home.  She was the wife of the late Edgar Ralley Hoover, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2002.

Born April 20, 1922, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Blaine and Eva Laura Martin Snyder.

She was a member of First Christian Church; and Ladies of Elks, Lodge # 378; all of Hagerstown.

Surviving are her children Jennifer A. Cooper and husband Gary of Odenton, Maryland, and Wesley A. Hoover and wife Donna of Boonsboro; grandchildren Michael R. Cooper, and Haley E. and Matthew A. Hoover, and great granddaughters Katelyn M. and Sarah M. Cooper; as well as her sisters Ruby E. Staley, Arvella L. Snyder, and Elizabeth C. Ridenour, all of Hagerstown.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Mary H. Goetz, Carl R. Boncord, and Boyd C. and Herbert H. Snyder.

The funeral service will be on Monday, March 25, at 1:30 PM, at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown.  The Rev. Steven L. Johns-Boehme will officiate.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 415 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, Maryland  21201; or the Nutrition Services Program, Washington County Commission on Aging, 140 West Franklin Street, Hagerstown, Maryland  21740.
