Ms. Edith Mae Jones, 76, of Hagerstown, fondly known to many as "Edie", died Tuesday evening, September 15, 2026, at her residence.

Born February 1, 1950, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Robert Dewey Jones and Alma Lorene Cooper Sencindiver. and her step-father the late Harold Amos Sencindiver. She graduated from Mussleman High School, Bunker Hill, West Virginia.

While Edie was a homemaker, she led a very active life. She had served as secretary in a physician's office; and was a very active volunteer with the American Red Cross. She not only offered her assistance with many recent natural disasters, but spent a great deal of time volunteering in New York City with the collapse of the World Trade Centers in 2001.

She was a Pentecostal by faith.

Edie is survived by her son, Eric Brian Jones and wife Shannon of Hagerstown; by her grandchildren Darrel "DJ" Marcelle of Oklahoma, Claudia Jones of Hagerstown, Robbie Doyle of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, Elijah Bradds and Isaiah Bradds and wife Alexia all of Baltimore, Julian Jones of Hagerstown, and LaRay Tinsley-Hall of Michigan; by her great grandchildren Avery, Lilah, Noah and Allison; as well as her sisters Carol Kirby of Inwood, West Virginia, and Marcia Blaylock of Hedgesville, West Virginia and Ronda Anderson of Martinsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edie will also be remembered by many friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents and step-father, she was preceded in death by her daughter Amanda Nicole Bradds; and sister Gail Jackson.

The family will be celebrating Edie's life privately, at their convenience.
