Glen Crawford

May 8, 1925 — February 17, 2017

Mr. Glen Roger Crawford, 91, of Hagerstown, died early Friday afternoon, February 17, 2017, at Coffman Nursing Home, Hagerstown.

Born May 8, 1925, in Kemp Mills, Williamsport, he was one of seven children of the late John Wesley and Blanche Edna Miller Crawford.

Mr. Crawford retired in 1988 with 20 years of service with General Motors Parts Plant, Martinsburg, West Virginia.  He also had been associated with the Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Inc., Hagerstown, for seventy years.

He was a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Lodge 378; and Hagerstown; W. D. Byron Post 1936 Veteran of Foreign War, and Potomac Post 202 American Legion, both of Williamsport.

Surviving is Mr. Crawford’s only child, his daughter Darlene L. Shoemaker, of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; his granddaughter, Leigh A. Crouse of Waynesboro; great grandchildren, Kelly M. and Brooke E. Monn; great, great grandson, Conner A. Smith; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his grandson Todd N. Rupp.  The last of his immediate family, he is also preceded in death by siblings, Frances V. Grimes, June E. Thomas, Betty M. Kendle, and John E., Fred J., and Irvin M. Crawford.

The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Thursday, February 23, beginning at 10:00 AM.  The funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 11:00 AM.  The Rev Mark W Wastler will officiate.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
