Irma Shry

Mrs. Irma Louise Shry, 73, of Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Damascus and Woodsboro, Maryland, died late Monday afternoon, August 22, 2011, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Charles Powell Shry, who preceded her in death in 1989.
Born December 7, 1937, in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Irma Mae Haginbaugh Shry.
She is survived by five children, including sons Carl L. Shry, Sr., of Damascus, and Thomas D. Shry, Sr., of Blue Ridge Summit; as well as several grand and great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Shry was preceded in death by two sons, Charles T. Shry, Sr., and William P. Shry, Sr.; and a sister.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangements. There will not be calling at the funeral home. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
