Ms. Joyce Elizabeth Keefer, 65, of Hagerstown, died early Tuesday morning, October 6, 2026, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.

Born June 4, 1961, in Gettysburg, she was a daughter of the late Russell Henry and Pauline Mae Brown Kniss.  She attended school in Biglerville, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Keefer was of the Pentecostal faith.

Surviving is her long-time companion W. Allen Barron of Hagerstown; and sisters Betty Speelman of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Darlene Faith of Big Pool.

Besides her parents, Ms. Keefer is preceded in death by siblings Edna Mae Crider, and Russell and Richard Kniss.

The family will celebrate Joyce's life privately.
