Russell William "Russ" Laber

Mr. Russell William "Russ" Laber, 98, a longtime local business man and resident of Hagerstown, died Sunday morning, January 4, 2026, at Doey's House, Hospice of Washington County, Hagerstown.  He was the husband of the late Henrietta Mae Hamilton Laber, who preceded him in death on December 14, 2005.

Born November 17, 1927, in Cumberland, he was the only child of the late Elmer William and Gertrude Grace Kaylor Laber.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

Russ purchased the former Office Equipment Company, Hagerstown, and continued owning operating the business as Laber's Office Supply, for many yeas, until retirement.  The business continues to operate to this day.

Russ is survived by his longtime companion of twenty years, Nancy Zimmerman of Hagerstown; her family; and numerous friends.

Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is assisting the family with arrangements.  Private entombment at Cedar Lawn Memorial Gardens, Hagerstown, will be at the convenience of Russ's companion and her family.
